Empowering UK Community Pharmacies: Charac Secures £1.2 Million Funding Boost

Now, here’s where things get really exciting. The Government’s Pharmacy First initiative is set to change the game. Patients with common ailments, like sore throats or shingles, will be directed to their local pharmacies instead of busy GP practices. It’s a forward-looking approach that holds great promise for the future.

However, there’s a catch. Many of our cherished pharmacies are currently grappling with the daily battle of survival. Meeting the expanded role envisioned by the Government may seem like an uphill climb for them right now.
